9 i. Daisy Ann⁵ LAYSON⁽⁷¹⁹⁾ #1446 was born in Jasper Co., GA JUN 1882.⁽⁷²⁰⁾ Daisy died July 13, 1945 in Empire, GA (Dodge Co.).⁽⁷²¹⁾ Obit- "MRS. W. L. ETHRIDGE EASTMAN, July 18 --Funeral services for Mrs. R. L. Ethridge, 65, who died July 13, at the home of daugther, Mrs. C.C. Hall, Empire, Route 1, were held, at Mt. Horab Baptist Church on Sunday. Rev H.T. Montgomery and Rev. M.G. Williams conducting. Interment was in Bowers cemetery Noles-Harrell Funeral home was in charge of arrangements. She is survived by her husband, R.L. Ethridge; two sons, W.L. and F.R. Ethridge; three daughters; Mrs. J.W. Lavendar, Mrs. C.C. Hall, and Mrs. W.L. Brown, one brother, Mitchell Fayson; 22 grandchildren and one great-grandchild." Her body was interred July 18, 1945 in Bowers Cemetery, Empire, GA (Dodge Co).⁽⁷²²⁾ She married Richard Lee ETHERIDGE about 1898.(723) (Richard Lee ETHERIDGE #1445.)

Richard was born in Jones Co., Georgia February 5, 1875.⁽⁷²⁴⁾ Tombstone give birthdate as 5 Feb 1869. 1900 Census gives date as Feb 1875. This is consistent with age given in 1910 and 1920 census. He was the son of Ed ETHERIDGE and Rebecca Tabitha DUPREE.

Richard died April 28, 1956 in Empire, GA (Dodge Co.), at 81 years of age.⁽⁷²⁵⁾ Deryl's Bible list two dates of death for Richard L. both on 29 April, 1952 & 1956 Death Certificate date 28 April 1956 Death Certificate- I hereby certify that I attended the deceased from 4/26/56 to 4/28/56, that I last saw the deceased alive on 4/28/56, and that death occured at 10:00 pm from the causes and on the date stated above.
